Please join us to hear from Christina Hassan, co-founder of FullSoul Canada.  A not for profit organization aimed at equipping hospitals in Uganda with medical supplies to protect the health and safety of mothers, babies and practitioners during childbirth.  Christina is a dedicated Public Health Professional, social entrepreneur and currently a law student at University of Calgary. She additionally holds a Master in Public Health from the University of Waterloo. Her work experiences are diverse, including but not limited to, applied cancer research at St. Michael's hospital, public health planning and evaluation at the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit (Peel Region), and an Internship with Save the Mothers in Uganda. She has presented her research internationally throughout Canada, the United States and Europe and it has been published in various scientific medical journals.
 
She is an avid Rotarian with Calgary Fish Creek Rotary Club and is a past president of the University of Waterloo Rotaract Club in 2010. In all her work, Christina embodies the Rotary Moto of "Service above Self" and looks to her Rotary mentors for support with various socially responsible initiatives.
 
Most recently both co-founders of FullSoul, Christina and her husband Hyder Hassan have been recognized in The Avenues Top 40 under 40. In late 2018 Christina Hassan was chosen among 1 of 6 in the world for United Nations People of Action Young Innovator Award from Rotary International.  Christina’s passion and dedication has driven the success of her personal and professional milestones with more to come.
