Anthem: Gary Williamson played O Canada, Invocation: By Jeff Dworkin. Club Business: - Gary Webster provided updates from the Community Service Committee meeting:
- The committee is recommending to donate a total of $5,000 (two tranches of $2,500 each) to Eye Camp for Kids charity, in support of Connaught School. First motion was read to this effect; discussion to take place in two weeks
- Working with Connaught School for delivery of diapers and water bottles
- Russ Kane was the volunteer of the month for September, 2021; Paul Cahill will have the same honour for the month of October 2021. Congratulations to both. Your volunteering is very much appreciated.
- Roger Frayne advised that the Rotary Remembrance will take place in-person in the Carriage House Inn on November 11th, starting at 10:30, followed by lunch at noon. Cost is $35 per person, and registration can be done on the district website Rotary5360.ca. Everybody is encouraged to attend. (Club normally contributes $800-1,000 to the Veterans Food Bank fund.)

- Video focused on Danger vs. Fear.
- Great video to understand how repeated practice removes the element of fear from the activity, while the real risk or danger becomes clear.
- Mel Foht mentioned that Chris has written a book; he will send details to club members
