Rotary Business: - Russell, who had just come down with Covid and was attending the meeting by zoom, addressed an item that he had sent out by email earlier, which was a survey of what jobs did we as members want to fulfil, and the opportunities available to everyone in the club. - Bob James thanked the attending club members who participated in his offer to match funds from members to support Ukrainian people, especially through the rotary district.
- Bob James mentioned an opportunity for club members to host a dinner for guests staying at Ronald Mc Donald House, and mentioned how important the Comfort of home-cooked food, and the opportunity for fellowship are to those guests.
- Stephnie Rodrigo was asked how problems in her country, Sri Lanka, are being resolved. Her reply was OK for the moment, and that profit was now being made by this new facility funded by Chinese money
Guest Speakers: There was disconnect hooking up the audio and visual presentation of the speaker who was on zoom from Portland Oregon. The topic was ‘should self interest motivate service’? This topic could have been more than appropriate, because the ensuing discussion between members and what tasks they do or don’t do evolved as the loose discussion went on while Zoom and computers were trying to be hooked up.
